  • 9 inch pie plate or 1 unbaked pie shell
  • Small saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 unbaked pie shell 9 in
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a small saucepan melt the butter. Set aside too cool.
  • Mix granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa and salt together in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a hand mixer, beat the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Add dry ingredients and beat until incorporated.
  • Pour in the evaporated milk and beat.
  • Add melted butter and beat until combined.
  • Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
  • Bake for 55 minutes or until done. Pie will be slightly jiggly but will set as it cools.
  • Once cooled, serve and enjoy!
