- 1 unbaked pie shell 9 in
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small saucepan melt the butter. Set aside too cool.
Mix granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa and salt together in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a hand mixer, beat the eggs and vanilla extract.
Add dry ingredients and beat until incorporated.
Pour in the evaporated milk and beat.
Add melted butter and beat until combined.
Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
Bake for 55 minutes or until done. Pie will be slightly jiggly but will set as it cools.
