Caramel Apple Crisp

This Caramel Apple Crisp combines tart apples and creamy caramel sauce topped off with a delicious oat and brown sugar crisp. It's so good!

Equipment

  • 9x13 baking dish
  • Mixing bowls

Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups sliced, peeled tart apples about 8 medium apples
  • 3/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 2 tbsp flour

Oat Topping

  • 1 cup quick cook oats
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • caramel sauce to drizzle over the top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Set aside.
  • Wash, peel and slice apples.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add apples, caramel sauce and flour. Mix together.
  • Pour into prepared baking dish.

Oat Topping

  • In a large mixing bowl, add oats, dark brown sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon. Cut butter into mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until apples are bubbling and topping is golden brown.
  • Cool for about 10 mintues.
  • Scoop into bowls, drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  • Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream too!
  • Enjoy!
  • Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
