Equipment

  • Baking sheets lined with parchment paper
  • microwave or double boiler
  • piping bag or plastic zip-top bag

Ingredients

  • pretzel sticks
  • 8 oz vanilla melting wafters Dolci Frutta Melting Wafers
  • Halloween sprinkles, sugar or nonpareils

Instructions

  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Arrange 7-8 pretzel sticks in a circular pattern making sure that the ends are touching in the center.
  • Use a microwave or double boiler to melt chocolate according to package directions. If chocolate is too thick add 1-2 tsp of vegetable shortening to thin it out.
  • Use a piping bag with a writer's tip or a zip-top bag to drizzle the chocolate for the web. If using a zip-top bag, cut a 1/8 inch hole in the corner of the bag.
  • Start in the center, where the pretzel sticks meet and pipe a flat circle. Continue to work outwards making a spiral across the pretzel lines until you achieve a spider web look. Pipe the chocolate around the last ring several times to ensure the web remains in tack.
  • Pour the Halloween sprinkles over the top of the melted chocolate.
  • Allow the spider webs to dry until completely set. You can place in the refrigerator to speed up the drying process. Once set, carefully remove the webs from the parchment paper.
  • Serve and enjoy!
