Cherry Turnover Filling
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 box puff pastry sheets
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon optional
- 1 egg white beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lay thawed puff pastry on a board and cut into four squares.
Add about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling to each square. (Optional-add 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon to the pie filling and mix).
Take a silicone brush, dip into the beaten egg white and brush on the edges.
Fold pastry in half (it's ok if some of the filling comes out). Brush the egg white on the top.
To seal, use a fork and crimp edges together. This helps to keep the filling from spilling out.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from pan and let cool completely.
Once cooled, drizzle vanilla glaze over the top. Use piping bag or sandwich bag (cut a small hole at the tip) and drizzle the glaze over the turnovers.
Serve warm or cold, with or without ice cream and enjoy!
