Banana Cake Bars
These banana cake bars are super moist with a sweet banana flavor. The delicious cream cheese frosting on the top adds the perfect finishing touch!

Banana Cake Bars
- 1/4 cup butter salted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup mashed bananas ripe
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup butter salted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 7x12 or 9x9 inch baking pan with baking spray with flour.
Mash banana and set aside.
Using a hand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Add the egg and beat.
Add sour cream and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to batter and beat until combined.
Lastly, add the mashed bananas and beat until smooth.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 20-25 mintues or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cake should be golden brown.
Cream Cheese Frosting
Using a hand mixer, beat the butter and cream cheese.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Frost cake, once completely cooled.
Cut into bars, serve and enjoy!
Optional: Add pecan chips or toasted coconut to the top.
