Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice River Rice
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2-1 cup raisins optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large stove top pan, add 4 cups milk, sugar, rice and bring to a gentle boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, add egg, 2/3 cup milk and vanilla and whisk together.
  • Add mixture to the stove top pan and return to a boil (once already simmered for 45 minutes), stiring regularly to avoid burning. Optional: add 1/2-1 cup raisins and stir for 2-3 minutes or until thick and creamy.
  • Remove from heat, serve warm or cold and enjoy!
