Bring the cream cheese to reach room temperature. This step ensures that the cream cheese blends smoothly and evenly into the dip. To expedite the softening process, you can microwave the cream cheese for 15-20 seconds.
Wash, dry and chop lettuce, green peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
Put vegetables in a large mixing bowl and mix together with a spoon. Set chopped lettuce aside.
Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese.
Add 1/2 sour cream and beat. Add the other half of sour cream and beat.
Add taco seasoning and mix well.
In a taco plate or 9x13 disposable pan, spread mixture evenly on bottom.
Pour salsa and spread evenly over bottom layer.
Layer the shredded lettuce over the salsa.
Spread vegetables evenly over the lettuce.
Spread cheddar cheese on top of the vegetables.
