These easy cheese olive broilers are a perfect appetizer. Crunchy, cheesy, gooey goodness that takes only 15 minutes to make. Make ahead and freeze, take out and pop under the broiler.
When I was a kid, my dad loved watching football games on Sundays. He would sit there in his barcalounger, feet up, cheering on his NY Giants, Buffalo Bills and NY Jets (yes, he loved all the NY teams as I am from Syracuse, New York). I aways got a kick out of how animated he used to get, as if they could hear him telling them what to do. “Dad, stop screaming! It’s not like they can hear you!” But he didn’t care, he would yell and cheer them on anyway.
Every now and then, when mom was in the mood, she would make him these easy cheese olive broilers. This was the only thing that would keep him quiet for a few minutes, as he would gobble them down, as soon as they came out of the oven. They were his go-to snack whenever he watched football. Every time I make them, the memories flood back to those cool fall days, sitting there with dad, watching the games, snacking on these easy cheese olive broilers. I still laugh at how animated he got. Those were the days, time certainly flies by!
So try these quick and easy cheese olive broilers, watch your favorite team on t.v., enjoy, and treasure the memories!
