Who doesn’t love wings? These simple spice rubbed chicken wings are great for a crowd, especially when not everyone likes buffalo wings. Prep time is any easy 5 minutes. For the rub check out Simple Chicken Wing Rub.
To make things easy, I always buy my wings already cut, this saves a lot of time and frustration. If you want to butcher your own wings, knock yourself out.
First, layout the wings on a plate and sprinkle the rub on them, flip and repeat.
Time to hit the grill. Normally, I use a gas grill on low for the wings because it’s fast and easy, but you can use charcoal as well, just set it up for indirect grilling method.
Once the grill is warmed up, just drop the wings on, not to close together, close the lid and walk away. After 10 minutes flip the wings, wait 10 more and flip again. This is when I usually check the temp. Not easy for wings so you have to be careful that your thermometer is not too close the the bone. You are looking for at least 165 degrees, I take mine to 170-175, wings are pretty forgiving. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can pull them after 30 minutes. Now go enjoy your spice rubbed chicken wings!
