Simple Apple Tart
A Simple Apple Tart is a great fall dessert to make when fresh apples are plentiful at the grocery stores. A delicious and impressive treat!

2 Baking Sheets
- 1 package puff pastry thawed
- 3 Granny Smith apples washed, peeled and sliced thin
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar packed
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp flour
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch salt
- baking spray with flour
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions.
Wash, peel and slice apples thin. Place in a mixing bowl.
Add dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon and salt and mix until combined. Let mixture sit for about 5 mintues.
Spray baking sheets with baking spray with flour.
Cut both puff pasty sheets into half. Place two pieces on each baking sheet.
Arrange apple slices in a row down the center of each pastry sheet. Overlap the slices.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until pasty is puffed and golden brown.
Remove from oven and let pastry sit on the baking sheet for roughly 5 minutes.
Cut and serve. If desired, add powdered sugar, ice cream, caramel sauce and/or whipped cream.
