Chocolate Skillet Brownie

- 4 oz unsweetened Baker's chocolate melted
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar packed
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (1/4 cup to sprinkle on top)
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt (optional to sprinkle on the top)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a skillet with baking spray with flour. Set aside.
In a small sauce pan, melt the unsweetened chocolate. Set aside to cool.
Whisk together flour, unsweetened cocoa and salt. Set aside.
Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or hand mixer beat butter, granulated sugar and dark brown sugar until light and creamy.
Add eggs and pure vanilla extract and beat until combined.
Beat in flour mixture until incorporated and smooth.
Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Pour mixture into prepared skillet. Top with remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. Sprinkle on Kosher salt (optional).
Bake for 20-24 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Serve warm, top with ice cream, hot fudge and toppings if desired.
