- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1-2 tbsp butter for cooking
In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, milk, pure vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt. Whisk until well blended and creamy.
Dip bread slices in custard, let them soak for about 5 seconds on each side, then flip and repeat.
Heat a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat and melt butter. Add bread and cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Flip and repeat.
If desired golden brown color is not reached, flip again and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes per side.
Remove from skillet and plate. Top with powdered sugar, butter, syrup, whipped cream and/or fruit if desired.
Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
