Baileys French Toast

Baileys French Toast is made with a little boozy treat by adding some Baileys Irish Cream to the mix! It's sinfully rich and delicious!

  • Skillet or fry pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk

Ingredients
  

  • 6 slices Challah, sourdough, Italian, baguette 1-inch thickness
  • 3 oz Baileys Irish Cream
  • 4 oz cream, milk, or half & half
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tbsp butter for frying

Instructions
 

  • Cut bread into 1-inch slices. Set aside.
  • In a shallow mixing bowl, whisk together Baileys Irish Cream, milk, eggs, pure vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt until well blended and creamy.
  • Dip bread slices in custard mixture and soak for about 1-2 minutes on each side, then flip and repeat.
  • While the bread is soaking, heat a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat and melt butter. Add bread and cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Flip and repeat. 
  • If desired golden brown color is not reached, flip again and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes per side. 
  • Remove from skillet and plate. Top with powdered sugar, butter, syrup, whipped cream and/or fruit if desired. 
  • Serve immediately.
  • Enjoy!
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days. Reheat on a skillet, in the microwave, toaster or oven.
