In a large saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch and water until smooth.
Add 1 cup of strawberries, 1 cup blueberries and lemon juice.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, and stir until thickened about 5 minutes.
Once mixture starts to thicken, remove from heat, stir in the other half of berries and pour evenly into the pie crust.
Chill until set and firm, about 2-3 hours. Make this pie a day before serving for best results.
Top with whipped cream if desired.
Slice and serve.
