Ingredients

Cranberry-Apple Filling

  • 2 16 oz packages of frozen cranberries
  • 4 cups apples about 4-5 medium, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup walnuts chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter cut

Cranberry-Apple Topping

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup butter melted

Instructions

Cranberry-Apple Filling

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Grease the bottom of the baking dish with butter.
  • Wash, peel and dice the apples.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen cranberries, apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped walnuts. Gently stir until the fruits are evenly coated.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes. This will help the flavors meld together and create a delicious filling.
  • Pour mixture into the baking dish and dot with butter.

  • Bake uncovered for 1 to 1.5 hours or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
  • Serve and enjoy!
  • Store leftovers, covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
