Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Add Oreos to a food processor and grind into fine crumbs. If you do not have a food processor, add Oreos to a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Using a hand mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Mix in crushed Oreos and pure vanilla extract and stir until well combined.
Using a 1 inch cookie scoop, scoop mixture and use your hands to roll into smooth balls. Place balls on parchment lined baking sheets.
Place the tray(s) in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Place candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave according to package directions. If too thick add 1 tsp of vegetable shortening at a time to thin out the melted chocolate.
Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each ball into the melted candy. Gently tap to remove excess dripping candy, then place onto the parchment lined baking sheets.
Use a spoon to drizzle on melted chocolate over the top if desired.
Top with a red candy heart.
Place baking sheets into the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to set.
Once set, serve and enjoy!
