- 1 package puff pastry Pepperidge Farms
- 1 jar Nutella
- 1 egg plus 1 tsp milk for egg wash, optional
- 2 tbsp coarse sugar optional
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar + more for dusting
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 pint strawberries chopped, diced into pieces
Baking the Puff Pastry
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions. Roll puff pastry and cut out shapes. Add puff pastry to a parchment lined baking sheet.
Whisk together egg and milk. Lightly brush egg wash over pastry. Sprinkle on some coarse sugar.
Bake in a preheated oven set to 400℉ for 8-10 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Remove and let cool on a wire rack before slicing and filling.
Preparing the Cream Filling and Strawberries
Wash, slice and dice strawberries. Set aside.
Beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Place into a pastry bag fitted with a decorative tip.
Assembling the Cream Puffs
Gently place a spoonful of Nutella on the bottom layer of the pastry, smoothing it out.
Pipe whipped cream onto the Nutella and top with strawberries.
Place the top half of the puff back on and dust with powdered sugar.
Serve and enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
