Mixing Bowl
Microwave safe bowl
- 8 cups fresh nectarines about 4 lbs., sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Crisp Topping
- 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar packed
- 1 1/2 cups quick 1-minute oats Quaker Oats
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 sticks, cut into tbsp
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Wash nectarines thoroughly and then slice them into thin wedges.
In a large mixing bowl, add nectarines, granulated sugar, flour, fresh squeezed lemon juice and cinnamon. Mix together until evenly coated.
Spread mixture evenly into the baking dish.
Crisp Topping
In a microwave safe bowl, mix together dark brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Add butter to the top and place the bowl in the microwave on high for 2 minutes. Use a large spoon to mix together until combined.
Pour topping over the nectarine mixture and spread evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping turns golden brown and the nectarines are tender and bubbly.
Let cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
Scoop crisp into bowls and if desired add a large scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to the top.
