This Poisoned Apple Cider Martini is a festive drink for a fall party or family gathering. A blend of apple cider, Vodka and cranberry juice.

Whether it’s a Halloween party or Thanksgiving day gathering, we are always looking for a seasonal drink to offer guests. What could be more fall than the flavor of apples? Fresh apple cider is readily available at local grocery stores during the fall months. The beauty of this drink is that you can even make a “virgin” version for the kids or for those that do not drink.

When working through the right blend of the ingredients, we also tried whiskey instead of vodka and it was equally delicious. So if you are a whisky fan or feeling adventurous, feel free to substitute whiskey (we used Makers Mark Bourbon) for the vodka.

One thing to keep in mind as you buy your apple cider is that there are many “flavors” available. You’ve got your spiced apple cider that has a more cinnamon flavor. Caramel apple cider, which obviously had a caramel flavor, and just plain old apple cider, that was used for this recipe. We kept it simple and we think it came out great. Any flavor can be used for this poisoned apple martini, so try them all and let us know what one you liked best!

Instructions

Grab your shaker and fill it with ice.
Add 3 oz. of apple cider, 2 oz. of vodka (or Whiskey) and 1.5 oz. of cranberry juice.

Let it sit for a few minutes to chill.
Shake and strain into a martini glass.

How to create a creepy Poisoned Apple Cider Martini for your Halloween gathering

When we were in Disney, Lisa got a drink with an LED ice cube in it. She loved it! Both the drink and how the LED ice cube turned the drink all sorts of cool colors. For our Halloween party last year, she bought a package of the LED ice cubes off of amazon. You can set the bulb to a changing array of colors or set it to one individual color. Colors on the ones wet got are RED, GREEN, PURPLE, ORANGE, AQUA BLUE. It adds a cool and creepy Halloween vibe to your drink as shown below.
