Celebrate your birthday with this creamy, sweet and delicious Birthday Cake Martini. Garnished with a sprinkled marshmallow fluff rim!
To celebrate my birthday or to actually forget how old I am, I decided to make this Birthday Cake Martini. I love sweet dessert cocktails and this one hits all the marks! First, it tastes like cake and on your birthday what better way to celebrate with a cake, or even better, a cocktail that tastes like a cake! Second, the alcohols used in this martini are sweet and delicious on their own but when combined together it makes one unforgettable cocktail. If you drink more than one, it may be forgettable! Third, what’s better than a marshmallow fluff rim topped off with some colorful sprinkles? I know, a huge dollop of whipped cream! Yum!
What alcohol is used in this Birthday Cake Martini?
For this recipe I used whipped cream vodka, white chocolate liqueur (Godiva), cream de cacao, and Amaretto. In addition I used half & half and some cream of coconut. Mixed all together and it tastes just like cake!
How do I add sprinkles to the rim of the glass?
There are lots of ways to add sprinkles, sugars, etc. to the rim of the glass. I have used a variety of options, however, I think I may have found my favorite way to rim a glass while I was making this martini. Use fluff! Fluff is thick and sticky. Pretty much anything will stick to it. However, you can also use honey, marshmallow topping or even water depending on what you are adding to the rim. I suggest using something thicker like fluff or honey if you are adding heavier things, like sprinkles or coconut to the glass. Water works well if you are coating the rim with sugar or salt. Find what you like best and stick to it. Yes, pun intended.
How to drink this Birthday Cake Martini
What, are you serious? You need a lesson on how to drink this? Yes! I found the best way to drink this martini is to start from the top. Get some whipped cream then take a sip of the drink. Make sure you also get some of the fluff and sprinkles off of the rim. This way you’ll get the full effect and it will taste like cake in your mouth! Delicious!
