This Broccoli Salad with Bacon and Raisins is sweet, crunchy, savory and packed with tons of flavor! A true crowd pleaser!
My mother-in-law has been making this Broccoli Salad with Bacon and Raisins for many, many years and it is one of my favorite sides. It’s loaded with crunchy raw broccoli, bacon, raisins, sunflower seeds and purple onion. In addition, it is topped off with a simple and delicious dressing made from mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. This salad is perfect for those summer cookouts and goes well with hot dogs, hamburgers, tenderloin, and just about anything you put on the grill.
One of the best things about this salad is that you can make it ahead of time. Just cook the bacon, add the ingredients to a large bowl, mix the dressing, pour it over the top and toss to coat. Place it in the refrigerator and let the magic begin! Refrigerate for at 5-6 hours before serving so the dressing can really soak into the ingredients. With just one bite, your guests won’t be able to resist going in for another helping!
