This 2 ingredient Brussels sprouts and bacon recipe is simple and delicious. All you need is a frying pan.
Brussels Sprouts with Bacon-Instructions
While there are only 2 ingredients, there is a little bit of preparation to having them turn out perfectly. First, I cut the bacon before putting it in the frying pan.
Next, add it to the frying pan and cook on medium heat. I prefer a cast iron frying pan, but any frying pan will do.
Before the bacon begins to crisp, remove it from the pan with a slotted spoon, and place onto a plate lined with paper towel. The bacon will finish crippling when you add it back to the pan later. Save the bacon grease in the pan, that is where all the flavor is!
Now add the Brussels sprouts to the pan (that still has the bacon grease in it). TIP: I use small Brussels sprouts or cut larger ones in half. These will need to cook for around 15 minutes or until they are brown and tender. If you are unsure if they are done, taste one. Continue to cook if they are not done to your liking.
Once the Brussels sprouts have browned, turn the heat down to medium low, and add the bacon back into the pan.
Give it a few minutes for the bacon to warm up and the flavors to meld. Serve when ready! This is a perfect side to grilled Flat Iron Steak check the recipe here.
