Easy Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Easy Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

These Easy Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are a the perfect blend of creamy and spicy. They will quickly become your go-to appetizer for all your family gatherings!

If you don’t have and air fryer, it’s time to think about getting one. I held out for a long time but I finally broke down and got one. I use the Instant Pot Vortex 4 in 1 Air Fryer – 6 Quart. What’s great is that the basket is big enough to get a lot of food through the fryer and cuts down batches. For example, it can do a whole bag of french fries in one batch.

About these jalapeño poppers, they are a standard at our Super Bowl Party, Cinco de Mayo and just about any other big event occasion. They only take about 10 minutes of prep, which can be done ahead of time. The cook time will vary by brand of air fryer, but about 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees is about right.

Easy Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers-Instructions

Stuffed jalapeños with cream cheese and bread crumbs

Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and pith. The seeds and pith are where all the heat is, so if you want to ramp up the spice factor leave some of both in.

Next, in a small bowl mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, chili powder, paprika and garlic powder. The cream cheese should be softened, if it is too hard you can soften it up in the microwave for a few seconds.

Place the bread crumbs in a separate bowl.

Add about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture to each jalapeño half. Top with bread crumbs. Now, you can refrigerate them until you are ready to cook or head right to the air fryer.

Pre-heat the air fryer to 375. Spray the basket with olive oil. Place the jalapeños in the basket making sure that they don’t touch. You may need to work in batches, depending on the size of the jalapeños and the size of your air fryer. Spray the top of the jalapeños with olive oil and cook for 8-10 minutes. Crispy, crunchy, spicy, delicious!

Serve and enjoy!
