This Pear Martini combines pear vodka, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice and simple sugar for a sweet, crisp floral drink.
There are so many fall drinks that feature one of the most well-known fall fruits, the apple. Just try our Poisoned Apple Cider Martini or our Fireball Apple Slushies. However, another less known fall fruit is the pear. Here in Massachusetts, pears are in season starting in August and running though mid-November. Pears can be found at most local grocery stores throughout the fall and into the holiday season. If you like pears then this Pear Martini is the perfect fall drink to add to your cocktail list.
This martini combines pear vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and simple sugar for a delicious, sweet, crisp, fruity drink that may become one of your new favorites. You may be asking yourself what is elderflower liqueur? Elderflower liqueur is made from the small, white, blossoms of the elderflower bush. These flowers are handpicked and the liqueur is made with no preservatives or additives. So use it within 6 months of opening for best flavor. You may be thinking, why would I want flowers in my drink? Don’t worry it doesn’t taste like cheap perfume, but rather, it adds some hints of floral undertones that adds a nice sweet flavor to your cocktails. In addition, you may taste pear, citrus and passionfruit flavors too. You’re going to love this Pear Martini and after trying the elderflower liqueur in this cocktail you’re going to want to try other elderflower cocktails too!
