Fresh, fruity, refreshing and delicious! This strawberry watermelon martini is a perfect drink to end a hot summer day. A festive summer time refresher everyone will enjoy!
This blended drink uses fresh fruit, vodka and a splash of grenadine poured over ice. The steps are simple: blend, chill over ice, shake, stir and pour into a glass. Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy this unique fruit combination. If you are a beginner mixologist, this drink is for you!
While friends were over for a visit, I got out the blender and started to create! I had fresh fruit in the fridge, so I grabbed a few handfuls of cubed watermelon and whole strawberries. Into the blender they went with a splash of grenadine and two shots of vodka. I turned on the blender, ran it for about 30 seconds on high, then poured this mixture into a shaker filled with ice.
After chilling for a few minutes and giving it a vigorous shake, I poured it into a martini glass. Next, I garnished with a chunk of watermelon and a whole strawberry. This of course is optional, but makes it look festive.
Now it was time to see if this martini is a crowd pleaser. Drinks in hand, I passed around a few of these creations and waited patiently for feedback. Let’s just say, within a few minutes I had to go back and mix up another batch! Total success!
My guests loved the fresh and summery vibes of this strawberry watermelon martini after the first sip! Nothing is more relaxing than spending time with friends and family, and a delicious martini adds to the enjoyment!
