Hundreds of times over the years, I have made these treats and everyone loves them! It’s a mom and dad’s go-to treat because they are easy to make and easy on your budget. I used to follow the classic recipe when I first started making them. However, after numerous experiments, I think I have finally perfected this popular treat. Come on and give it a try because these are Perfect Rice Krispie Treats!
Vanilla extract adds that something extra to these Perfect Rice Krispie Treats! By adding a little bit of vanilla to this recipe, it will enhance all the other flavors in this treat, making it the silent star. I always use pure vanilla extract. It’s expensive, I know, but it makes a huge difference in flavor when it comes to baking. I can pick out imitation vanilla immediately because of its chemical taste. So spend the extra money, it’s worth it.
Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients: butter, vanilla, Rice Krispie Cereal, marshmallows.
In a large pan over low-medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the marshmallows and melt over low to medium heat and stir continuously
Stir in vanilla.
Add the Rice Krispie Cereal to the marshmallow mixture and toss until combined
Press into a greased 9×13 inch pan. Let set for at least 30 minutes.

- 9×13 inch baking pan
- Large Cooktop Pan
Ingredients
- 7 tbsp salted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 bags marshmallows
- 10 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
- 3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large pan over low to medium heat, melt the butter
- Add marshmallows and stir continuously until marshmallows are melted
- Remove from heat, add Rice Krispie Cereal and gently fold in until completely combined
- Press into a greased 9×13 inch pan
- Let set for at least 30 minutes, cut into squares and enjoy!
