Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/4 for the top
- Kosher salt to sprinkle on the top
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 10-inch cast iron skillet with baking spray with flour. Set aside.
Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or a hand mixer, beat the butter, granulated sugar and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg, pure vanilla extract and milk and beat until combined.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and beat until combined.
Stir in 1 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Spread mixture into prepared skillet.
Top with remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. Sprinkle on Kosher salt if desired.
Bake for 28-32 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cookie is mostly set when jiggled.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Serve warm with ice cream and toppings!
