Hot Buttered Rum Cocktail

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/16 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/16 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • whipped cream
  • cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together butter, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until fully combined. Spoon mixture into a glass mug. Set aside.
  • In a small saucepan bring water to a boil.
  • Pour boiling water into the mug, add pure vanilla extract and dark rum.
  • Mix together until combined.
  • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
  • Serve immediately.
