What ingredients do I need for Chocolate Skillet Brownie?
- 4 oz unsweetened Baker’s chocolate (melted)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (1/4 cup to sprinkle on top)
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt (optional to sprinkle on the top)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a skillet with baking spray with flour. Set aside.
- In a small sauce pan, melt the unsweetened chocolate. Set aside to cool.
- Whisk together flour, unsweetened cocoa and salt. Set aside.
- Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment or hand mixer beat butter, granulated sugar and dark brown sugar until light and creamy.
- Add eggs and pure vanilla extract and beat until combined.
- Beat in flour mixture until incorporated and smooth.
- Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour mixture into prepared skillet. Top with remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp Kosher salt (optional) on top.
- Bake for 20-24 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Serve warm, top with ice cream, hot fudge and toppings if desired.

- Use a 10-inch oven safe skillet.
- Spray the skillet with baking spray with flour to ensure easy removal and non-sticking.
- Do not over bake. Insert a toothpick in the center and if it comes out mostly clean it’s done. This way you’ll get a nice gooey brownie.
