Crowd pleaser alert! This easy artichoke dip takes only a few minutes to make. When you are short on time and need an easy appetizer, look no further!

When it comes to entertaining there is so much to do. Clean the house, get your grocery list together, buy the items, make the food, don’t forget the dessert! There’s so much to do and often not enough time to do it. Some way some how, everything gets done before the first guest arrives!

I’m lucky because my husband is in charge of the main course and I’m in charge of the dessert. Most of the time, we split the sides, or I make them ahead of time. What about the appetizers? As in most cases, I usually forget about making the appetizers, so chips and dip it is. However, this artichoke dip is so easy to make you can whip it up in about 15 minutes!

Garlic Tips

Place garlic clove on a chopping board. Cover the garlic with the flat side of a chef’s knife and carefully smash the heel of your palm down of the knife. This allows for the skin to be easily removed.

Slice off the root part of the clove. A garlic press the fastest way to get crushed garlic. Simply put the skinless clove in and press.

If you don’t have a garlic press then chop the garlic up very fine or use a small grater.

Drain artichoke hearts and place in a food processor. Pulse for 20-30 seconds or until artichokes are small and consistent throughout.

In a mixing bowl, add chopped artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, garlic, freshly grated parmesan cheese, pepper, soy sauce and red hot or tabasco sauce and mix well.

Place in a shallow baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Serve with crackers, pita chips or taco chips.

  • Shallow baking dish
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Mini food processor (optional)
  • Garlic press (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 14 oz can artichoke hearts water packed
  • 1 tsp garlic (about 2 cloves) chopped, minced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1/2-1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Drain artichoke hearts and place in a food processor. Pulse for 20-30 seconds or until artichokes are small and consistent throughout.
  • Grate, chop or press garlic.
  • Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 20-25 mintues.
  • Serve with crackers, pita, or taco chips.
