This Reindeer Chow is Loaded with peanut butter, chocolate, M&Ms, pretzels and mini-peanut butter cups. Your family, friends, Santa and all his reindeer will love it!
If you are looking for an easy Christmas treat that can feed a large crowd, then look no further! This Reindeer Chow is your answer! There are so many recipes out there, each with their own unique twist, but basically they are all pretty much the same and absolutely delicious! Here’s my favorite way to make this no bake, Christmas treat!
Reindeer Chow-Ingredients
Pure vanilla extract, holiday M&Ms, Rice Chex, pretzels, powdered sugar, creamy peanut butter, Reese’s mini peanut butter cups, semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter.
Instructions
- Prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Place cereal in a large mixing bow.
- In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Over medium-low heat, stir until melted and smooth. Add pure vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal. Gently toss to coat. Cover completely.
- Add powdered sugar to the plastic bag. Add coated cereal, seal the bag and shake until cereal is coated well in the powdered sugar.
- Spread the cereal out on the prepared baking sheet. Cool completely until dry.
- Combine cereal, mini peanut butter cups, M&M’s and pretzels and toss to mix.
- Serve and enjoy!
- Store in an airtight tin in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. To freeze: place in an air tight container for up to 3 months.
Tips on How to Make the Best Reindeer Chow
- Be careful and gentle when stirring the cereal and the chocolate mixture. You don’t want to crush the cereal!
- Use a large resealable plastic bag. There’s a lot of cereal, so you may need to use a 2 gallon bag instead. These larger bags may be hard to find, so if you use a gallon bag add 1/2 of the cereal and 1/2 the powdered sugar and repeat.
- If your candy is not fully coated sprinkle some extra powdered sugar!
