Vodka Sunrise

Summer refreshment! This Vodka Sunrise is simple and delicious! Just add vodka, orange juice, a splash of grenadine and enjoy the sunrise!

Since my younger brother was one year old, my family and I have been coming down to Ocean City, New Jersey. I won’t tell you how many years that has been but let’s just say it’s been a very long time!. In 1993, my parents finally purchased a home down at the shore. After my girls were born, they too have been enjoying summers down here as well.

For those of you who have never been to Ocean City, New Jersey, it’s a wonderful place to vacation with your family. They call it America’s Greatest Family Resort. There are so many fun things to do! You can ride bikes on the boardwalk in the morning, go for a run, play miniature golf, enjoy two amusement parks, great food, awesome taffy and fudge and of course the expansive beaches. From my house if you look to the south, you can see all the way down to Cape May. If you look north, you can see all the way to Atlantic City. The beaches are really amazing!

Each and every morning, people venture out to the boardwalk and beaches to experience the amazing sunrises. They are truly spectacular!

My girls love watching the sunrise, so today we got up and watched the sun come up. There’s nothing more beautiful then seeing the sun just start to come up over the water. The colors remind me of the colors in this drink. If you haven’t guessed, this drink was inspired by the sunrise.

Vodka Sunrise-Ingredients

Maraschino cherries, vodka, orange, grenadine, orange juice.

Instructions

In a low ball glass, add ice. Pour in 1.5 ounces of vodka, 3.5 ounces of orange juice, splash of grenadine. Mix. Cheers!
