White Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a fun and delicious snack that you can easily make at home. Makes a great gift for any holiday!
Salty and sweet! These White Chocolate Covered Pretzels fit this bill perfectly. Plus, it’s a great way to keep the kids entertained when they are asking for something to do. They are simple to make, super tasty and they make a great holiday gift treat too!
What kind of pretzels should I use?
Although any type of pretzel can be used, my personal favorite are the mini pretzels. Not only do I like my snacks and treats bite sized, they ensure that perfect ratio of chocolatey goodness to that salty crunch.
What is the best chocolate to use?
There’s no wrong answer to this question. However, use your favorite kind of chocolate! In my family, we love making these pretzels with white chocolate and dark chocolate. If you love milk chocolate then feel free to use that instead! Experiment and see what your favorite combo is!
Should I use melting wafers, chocolate chips or chocolate bars?
I found that the best and easiest way to make these chocolate covered pretzels is to use the Dolci Frutta melting wafers. All you have to do is heat the container in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stir and repeat until the chocolate is smooth. In my grocery store, Stop & Shop, this product can be found near the fruit section, as this is the product I used in my Quick Chocolate Covered Strawberries too. If you cannot find this product at your grocery store, you can find it online at Amazon or Walmart. Lastly, any type of melting wafers work perfectly fine.
Decorate your pretzels!
You can leave your pretzels plain or decorate them for the holidays! Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I decorated mine with a variety of Valentine’s Day nonpareils, heart sprinkles, and pink sugar. In addition, you can drizzle them with extra chocolate, nuts, coconut flakes, etc. Make them for all the holidays and just change out the colors and sprinkles!
