Many years ago, my roommates and I hosted a huge Christmas party. This was one of the appetizers I served and my guests LOVED them! I first tasted this delicious appetizer at BJs, of all places. While I was there shopping for the party, a woman was passing them out. I usually pass on these freebies, but today for some reason, I thought sure, why not! As soon as it hit my lips, I knew that this was something I needed to serve at the party.

The woman pointed me to the frozen section and advised me to grab a bag of the frozen, cooked, Sweedish meatballs and then handed me a jar of the Veri Veri Teriyaki Sauce. She told me to put the frozen meatballs in the crockpot, cover them with the sauce and turn it on. That’s it! I was instantly sold! You can definitely use homemade meatballs, however, frozen ones save you tons of time and work well in this recipe.
